Greeley Ponds Trail was a sidewalk, as was the Mt. Osceola Trail up to the steeps. Above, trail was still packed but with an inch or more of unconsolidated snow on top. There was minor drifting between the peaks. Chimney by-pass had some cover and wasn't bad. Crossings solid. We took care of the several blowdowns encountered with the Fanno.

We bare-booted to below the steeps, then wore crampons up the peaks and back. Snowshoes not required (but I hope they will be soon!).

Stunning, comfortable sunny day with great cramponing conditions. Wonderful to hike with Gary again! We found a pair of snowshoes, see separate post.
