Greeley Ponds trail was wet and a littly muddy.

Mt Osceola trail going up East Osceola had a lot of clearance from the trees. (Not brushing up against you like on the Carters) Some ice on the exposed rock sections but easily navigated around it.

Bushwack to the two western peaks, 4220' and 4114', picked up a herd path pretty quick. My 11 year old son spotted some "metal junk" and we decded to check it out. And there was the path, seemingly headed in the desired direction. Sweet! Also found a very long section of wire, single strand, about 1/8" thick. If anyone knows what it was for please post. I was thinking telegraph? Didn't find or stayed on a path from the western most peak, so from this point was a true bushwack. We used a bearing of 310 and encountered some very thick spruce and emerged a little more south than I would have liked. We were shooting for the height of land between Scar Ridge East, but came up a few hundred feet low on the south side, not bad for an 11 old navigating!

East Pond trail back to Kanc. was in good shape with some wet sections. A large birch tree made a bridge across the larger brook crossing. Then about a mile of road walk back to Greely Ponds trail head.

Great trip with my son, 45 F in late November! No views due to fog / low cloud cover. But no complaints about weather conditions.

No special equipment needed.
