The original plan was to visit 13 Falls from Lincoln Woods on such a misty day, but the weather seemed to be breaking so I opted for Mt Flume and Mt Liberty. Had a great hike, but the summits were in rain, so the original plan was a good one.

Be careful picking up the Osseo Trail from the Wilderness Trail. The sign has been sort of blackened out for some reason.

Osseo Trail is very pretty, with a nice brook along most of the way, and a nice steady grade. I didn't see a single hiker until I made it to the summit of Mt Flume. Some three-toothed cinquefoil was in bloom. It was a nice misty, lush day in the forest.

I saw a cow moose in her summer coat. The molting is completely done. She was standing in some pretty swamp candles.

Yeah - the sign has been like this since at least last October. Was surprised to see it in the same state a few weeks back. Last year I figured it was a work in progress, but I guess not.

Nice moose pic :)
