At their recent summer planning meeting,
The Over The Hill Hikers, of Sandwich New Hampshire, originators and keepers of the 52WAV (With a View) list
voted to replace the now nearly viewless Mount Wolf on the list
with Mount Roberts in the Ossipee Range..
The spirit of the list is to provide alternative hikes to sub 4000 footers that contain worthwhile viewpoints either on the summit or close at hand..it was the feeling of the group from visits and reports that Wolf no longer met the criteria of the intent of the list and should be replaced.
Mount Roberts, which is now easily accessable was deemed a worthy replacement and is certainly worth a visit for those who have not been there.
