Consider volunteering for Outdoor Explorations,a non-profit organization that co-ordinates outdoor adventure programs for people with disabilities.

Join us for a social gathering of Boston area outdoor enthusiasts Come and learn about OE,come and meet current volunteers(including MrsKD and I)

There will be appetizers,a short informal presentation on OE(7pm),and a free raffle,with a chance to win outdoor gear,lift tickets etc.

My daughter and son in law are members of OE. It's a great group - worth checking out!

I volunteered with OE for several years as did my son. They're the only ones who organize such activities on the scale they do. Excellent training for the volunteers who support their programs. I still hike and paddle with people whose friendships were established through OE, including some people with disabilities.
