Trail Conditions:

Lincoln Woods was, well... Lincoln Woods (dry and flat)

Franconia Brook: mostly dry with occasional muddy sections. One potential widow-maker just beyond where the relocated section rejoins the rail bed.

Lincoln Brook: mostly wet, sloppy and muddy. Bugs were especially bad along the first mile or so of this trail.

Owl's Head Path: Fair amount of water running down parts of the slide. Numerous knee-high blow-downs above the slide.

Special Equipment Required:

Trekking poles and wading shoes were helpful for major brook crossings. I hiked in shorts (no gaitors) all day.

Comments:

I had to wade the first two crossings on the Lincoln Brook Trail, but the rest were rock-hoppable. I left my wading shoes on fro the short hike between these two crossings.
The start of the Owl's Head Path has been recently marked with a crudely hacked blaze in the shape of an arrow. There is a wooden sign placed on top of the cairn at the old summit that directs you to the new summit.
