Nothing new here folks besides finishing the 35 winter peaks and the 39 peaks for the Catskill's 3500, all in the winter.
Panther and Giant Ledge: trail rock solid, used snowshoes, but mircospikes would do. Good views from various spots on Giant Ledge, if you have not done it.
Blackhead: Use Black Dome trail (red trail) from Big Hollow Road. The trail is well packed all the way to Lockwood Gap. The gap has drifting snow but nothing special. I turned toward Blackhead which was packed. The trail up Black Dome is completely blown-in where I was but could be open above.
I used microspikes on this hike because my snowshoes were damaged on the first hike.
