Passaconaway via Dicey's Mill 2-7-09

Dicey's Mill Tr. is nicely broken all the way to the summit. The snow is still soft and needs more traffic to really pack it firm. A few blow downs to stoop under and walk around. Stream crossing has adequate bridge. As of 12:00, Rollins Trail was unbroken. Although, from the group of 3 that I met on the trail, they said that a group was planning to come over it from Whiteface. Snow shoes on all day. Crampons and microspikes would have been of no use today. First one in the parking lot today. When I got back there were nine vehicles.
