I decided I was just not going to dream about hiking vacations so I went on one. On February 19, I left Phila Pa for warm and sunny Buenas Aires Argentina. I then left Buenas Aires and spent the next 2 weeks hiking in southern patagonia; both Argentina and Chile. I had a great trip report going but the internet decided to kick me out and I lost the whole darn thing. GRRR . My pictures are here:

I will get a trip report up and running as soon as my typing energy returns.

Simply fabulous. I've always wanted to go to Patagonia, but unfortunately its not free. :( Pic 132 almost looks like the presidentials, if you use your imagination!

Congrats and great pics! The shot of the guanaco reminded me of my old neighbor in VT - he had several llamas. Interesting personalities.

Fantastic Pictures!! "The Shark" looks sweet, as well as the glacier and glacial feature (moraine) pics. Gotta make it there! Guess there's a reason someone named an outdoor clothing company after the area.

Nice trip!

Great pictures! I loved the closeups of the glacier, the sunrise, and the "shark." What a great experience! Thanks for sharing.

Wow, fantastic shots... Did you start singing to Boney M when you were looking at Cerro Torre... I can't think of that movie without that whole diatribe about dieing to Boney M!!! :)

Looks like a nice place to kayak too, around all those icebergs..
