There is a spring at about 3600' on the trail, 0.5 mile south of the Peekamoose summit. This is 3.3 miles from the trailhead, 0.25 miles above the wide open viewpoint which is just above the 3500' elevation sign. It is fairly reliable except in dry weather. Reportedly there was water flowing the last week of June. There formerly was a pipe, however, that has been removed. You should be able to pump and filter from the very small pool of water at the spring.

As usual, Mark has nailed it. Just wanted to add that the spring was dry when I was there in August of 2002, I think it was a drought year, but flowing quite well the following summer (late June 2003).
