This picture of the cairn is fantastic, it looks like a Christmas Tree or wedding cake ! How long did it take to get down the auto road ? We were up and around the west side the week before, it looks like you had a little more snow than us.

Thanks Bob and Geri for finding the right link. Webshots is a pain in the butt, maybe that's why it's free.

I'm going to say it took about 5 hours to get down the Auto Road and the Old Jackson Road back to Pinkham Notch. There were a few animal tracks on the road and many bunny tracks. Also the tracks left by the snowcats were fun to walk in. And we did Glissade a few times on hidden ice. If the Whites get much more snow, the Auto Road may be a little more tricky getting down. Maybe next time I'll bring a sled.
 
Nice pictures, but the one of someone on the ladder is Lions head not Tucks.
