We ascended the Crawford Path over Pierce (by WC Tr.) and Eisenhower to Monroe then returned to the Edmands Path and descended it with a road walk back to the car. Trails were nearly snow and ice-free with only a few patches of no consequence. Some muddy spots, not bad at all. Several recent blowdowns on the trip, one beauty on the Edmands Path. No crossing issues on this trip.
Bare boots and poles for the slick spots were all that were needed.
We planned on only Pierce and Ike but ended out pursuing the elusive views all the way to Monroe where they were finally spectacular. Fog/clouds coming and going and beautifully draped on the peaks.
