Trail Conditions: Mud, bare ground, packed snow.

Special Equipment Required: Microspikes, poles, sunscreen.

Comments: Crawford Path started out bare with some muddy spots. Thin packed snow to Gibbs Falls. Deepening snow towards Pierce - well packed monorail - perfect conditions for microspikes. Pierce summit bare rock with some icy patches. Between Pierce & Eisenhower softening snow under brilliant blue skies. Loop to Eisenhower summit - bare rock combined with snowy patches - we removed our microspikes for the summit loop.

Fantastic day to be above treeline. Superb VFTT! A wonderful sight to see young and old on the trail (what did those young boys eat for lunch? They were flying). :)

A good day to be in the mountains with Jeff & Lisa.
