While many of the more fun loving among us this weekend will apparently be up in the woods of Vermont building grand bonfires, playing with firearms, drinking copious amounts of intoxicating liquors fortified with energy drinks, and engaging in general mayhem, I suppose some of us must stay back to patrol the Whites. I volunteer to cover the Crawford Path up to Pierce this Saturday, with a possible push to Eisenhower, if conditions remain favorable. There is a rumor Mrs. Amantio will join the party. We would love company. Proposed start time between 8:30 and 9:00. Pace moderate to moderate/slow, especially on the ascents. Post or PM and we can work out further logistics.
