If you're heading for Pinkham Notch and its environs this Labor Day weekend via North Conway, here's a traffic tip.
North Conway's main drag (Rte. 16) is torn up today, right in the middle of the business district. Looks like some serious underground utility work in progress. The parking spots on the northbound side are unavailable, which is bound to flummox things even more once the hardcore shoppers hit town. Probably will be a good weekend to use West Side Road at Conway or North-South Road.
