trails: piper mountain, piper/whiteface link, whiteface mountain, old piper, white trail, blue trail, saddle trail, brook trail, gunstock moutain trail
conditions: trails on piper and whiteface mostly dry. some small patches of snow/ice in sections and some mud where whiteface trail joins 4wd road. more snow on descent from piper towards belknap. white trail has more snow/ice and blue trail to belknap/gunstock col still has significant sections of snow. some icy sections on ascent of gunstock. gunstock mountain trail dry except for a couple icy sections up high.
equipment: used light traction on descent from belknap on blue trail. not necessary, but was helpful.
comments: great day. really nice views from all the summits. especially enjoyed the view from whiteface. thanks to the fellow staffing the fire tower for letting me check it out.
