Even with the spring like temps the snow pack was pretty firm. All trails were open, no need to break trail. The climb up Plateau and Sugarloaf from Mink Hollow Road is steep but offers good views. Next I drove over to Pedringer TH, again the Jimmy Dolan trail was well packed. The trail travels thru a extensive Hemlock grove. Twin offers several excellent viewing areas and is worth the climb in and of itself. Indian Head provide at least one good view but is otherwise a enclosed summit.
