Saturday the hound and I ran all the trails (except 0.3 of the Bald Peak Trail) -most out and back plus the cell tower road. The Fire Warden's was the wettest but nothing that couldn't be avoided, it's rock are slippery whether they are dry or not. From Sue's Way you could see that some snow remained on Upper Appalachian Ski Trail, it was tempting to leave the trail and go for a slide. We ended up stopping early due to severe Thunder and Lightning so instead of heading back up the Ledges Tr. and back over the summit to get that last section we just ran back to the car once we came down on the Mountain Road. We ended up with 19.5 miles, I think next time i can make it a marathon -if i go up and down the ski area once too. The wind kept the black flies at bay except when we stopped on the Demark Road. Also the ticks are biting too. Dog=3 me=4 All trails runnable only a few blow downs noted that can be easily negotiated.
