IF a short term forecast looks favorable Wednesday, or Friday I will be doing some version of a presi traverse.
1. If I go by myself, then I will stage a car at Jefferson Notch in the early morning and then moutain bike the 6.5miles back to the Highland Center. This would be about 14.5 miles of hiking with 6,100ft up and -4900ft down. I would hit the 7 peaks from Jackson to Jefferson.
2. If I can find a partner out there, I could be conviced to team up to stage a car at Rt 2 and then drive back top te Highland center and hike the whole thing hitting the rest of the peaks, but skipping Jackson.
In either case I am holding out for a Very good forecast, no rain, not too cold, and not too windy.
I plan to spend the night before and after at the Highland center Bunkhouse.
