Amazingly there were three partie doing one day traverse. Two parties (including ours) started at midnight on Appalachia. I think that the second party finished OK but they were behind us. The third party started at Crawford around 7am and finished OK.

A bit windy on the ridge but not too bad, felt colder on the ridge than actul temps indicated (~20F).

We carried but did not use snowshoes although some sections around Edmonts col had soft slabs. We wanted to climb mt Adams via Star Lake trail but never found it in the dark and ended up buchwacking in the steep unfamiliar terrain in the dark - silly, exausting and time consuming but entertaining in a way. Southern Presidentials amazingly had packed trail and no snowhoes were needed. Most people in our group were barefoot the entire trip although "normal" people would use traction in those conditions.

Amazing snow formations on Mt Clay, fantastic sunrise with alpenglow on mt Washington, relatively easy conditions, overall great weather
