Question on Mt. Ampersand

Do you know if it gets busy on Mt Ampersand on a winter weekend? A few of us are going to go there sometime early next year and I was wondering if there is a chance that the trail will be marked by the footsteps of the previous hikers and easier to follow this way?

my guess is that during mid winter periods most trails get some kind of activity//// i expect that ampersand will be tracked....this will also depend on if a storm came thorugh and nobody else has been out there....

Would one need a mountaineering axe for a hike like this or a pair of poles would be enough?

should be fine with poles and snowshoes....unless you catch the trails on a freeze thaw cycle, all should be fine...
