Trail Conditions
Red Hill: The trail was dry with a few muddy patches here and there. No blowdown that I recall, and only a few spots of seasonal trail erosion.
Balsam Lake Mountain via Dry Brook Trail: The trail is in great condition. There were three muddy areas, but all were able to be avoided with some rock-hopping skills. No blowdown, and very little erosion.
Hunter via Becker Hollow: The tail was quite muddy at lower elevations with lots of nettles. Higher up the mud dried up and was replaced by lots of loose rock. A few spots of large blowdown, but nothing that isn't easy to crawl under. Connector trail to summit is a little muddy in spots.
Tremper: The trail has some muddy spots and small streams in the path at lower elevations (half way down the mountain or so). There is one place where a huge tree has blown down, but it wasn't very had to skirt around. Lean-tos were clear and had very little trash in them.
Overlook via the gravel road: This trail is fine. Nothing really to report. It's a gravel road, folks.
Special Equipment Required
Nothing, really. Bugs are out, but not too many bites yet.
