About six days ago I received the following E-mail from Hiker Ed. I was sure someone else would post it so I didn't bother, but I haven't seen it anywhere and I personally think it's noteworthy enough to post here. Congratulations Cath.
On Tuesday, July 3, 2012, Cath Goodwin became the
"THIRTEENTH" (#13 ) person to "RED-LINE" all the trails in the "AMC
White Mountain Guide" ( 28TH Edition ).
Cath has now walked every trail in the AMC White Mouintain Guide.
On this day, Cath was joined by her long time hiking friends, Steve
Smith, Steve Martin, Pam Bales, Jeff Wilson, & Tim Muskat.
Cath's finish was on the Artist Bluff/Bald Mt Loop trails in Franconia
Notch.
CONGRATULATIONS TO CATH!!!!!!!!
I know you will all join me in congratulations to Cath on her completion
of this fun & rewarding goal & achievement.
Of special note:
Cath becomes the "FIRST" person to complete what I consider "three"
major "lifetime" goals.
1. The "GRID". Every NH 4000 footer in "Every Calendar Month"
( 12 X 48 = 576 ). December 31, 2003. Finisher #4.
2. "Every Calendar Day". An "official" 4000 footer of the Northeast
on "Every Calendar Day" ( 366 X 4000 footer ). April 5, 2012. Finisher #4.
3. "Red-line" "Every" trail in the AMC White Mountain Guide. July 3, 2012.
Finisher #13.
