Trail Conditions: Me, Alexhike and Jean-Marc have started from the loj. Muddy but was frozen in the mornig. No snow until Marcy dam. After not very much snow until Avalanche Lake. We have crossed on Avalanche lake and Lake Colden. But i won't be too long that you will not be able to do so. After that, snow is increasing. We have put our snowshoes at the Uphill Lean-to and never removed them for Redfield and Cliff. It's still winter up there. There is still 3 to 4 feet of snow on the way up to the summit. Cliff was very challenging.

Special Equipment Required: I have use Yaktrax until the uphill lean-to. After that, snowshoes ESSENTIAL. I didn't use my crampons. Gaiters and poles always useful.

Comments: A perfect day. Very nice views from the summit of Redfield. Thank you to the other guys for the great day.
