Does anyone know where to buy yellow or orange reflective tape in the NH / MA area? I went on a minor bushwhack the other day & spent 1/2 hr looking for my hiking pole which I put down for a moment to take a picture of something. The forest is really good at swallowing up things that look like black sticks. (found it fortunately)

so now I want to put reflective tape on my hiking pole & backpack.

REI and EMS have reflective tape in biking supplies.

Presumably bike stores will have it too.

I have some reflective straps with velcro closures. Makes it much easier to find a tent in the dark.

Bike stores will have reflective tape in many forms, between basic stickers and tape itself. You'd probably even find them in hardware stores and big box stores.

You can even buy, in bike stores, little reflective strips with velcro on the ends so you can velcro your rain pants down when it rains (so your (right) pant leg don't get sucked into the chainring.), however when not being used as such, I hang mine on the back of my rear rack as another reflective device.

If you check Lowes or Home Depot, you can get flagging tape in the surveying section very cheaply ~ $1.99 per roll. they usuallly have hi-vis yellow, hi vis green, hi vis orange.
You can also get the night time luminescent flagging tape (about a dollar more). I am not sure if it is called glow in the dark, luminescent or flourescent, but whatever it is, it highlights a trail for 50 yards when I turn my headlamp onto it.
