Will gladly pay for a ride from the Long Trail Crossing on US Rt. 4 (Parking lot) to the LT Northern Terminus near North Troy Vt. This is roughly 120 miles. Any time in the next two weeks or so is fine.

Weekend - which one?

Hi old buddy! Do you mean next weekend? June 20, 21?

If so yes. Or later even. I'm fully retired now so my time all belongs to me:D

Thanks Jason

If you still need a ride by the 26th, then I'd be happy to help. I'll be out of town until then.

I can't wait to hear about Scotland!

Scotland was a really - really great trip. 25 days and backpacked 300 miles. Did the Cape Wrath route (not a trail) through the "rough" bounds of Knoydart, Moidart, Assynt, and Cape Wrath. Lots of "no trail" route finding and wild camping. Had to traverse the last six mile across a bombing range that had just finished with NATO exercises but the warning flags were still up. Makes one a bit tense. Again, no trail, just a direction to take and peat bogs to avoid. Wish I had faster than 26.6 kb/sec Internet access so that I could post more of the 450 pictures I took. The weather was grrreat!

Discovered that Tarp tents are NOT the way to go in Scotland. Especially in windy conditions where there is no place to hide. My next tent is going to be a Hilleberg Akto. pricey, but bomb proof.

I just took a look at your photos... looks like you were the one doing the shooting

If the weather is nice, how about Friday morning (6/19/09), early. I can tie it in with a trip up Camels Hump or Mansfield. Presumably you will be spotting a vehicle at the Rt 4 trailhead.

Just right

This would be perfect. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. If not, then maybe the 26th?
I sent you an email with my phone number.
