You mean ride a bike up to Lower Ausable Lake. The road gains a decent amount of elevation from the parking area to the lake.

But nothing like the Alpe d'Huez or anything... Riding a bike up to the lower lake would be very easy, but not legal... unless maybe you can disquise the bike as X-C skis, perhaps.. :)

You know about 20 years ago I saw the need for those off-road skates, and I contacted Bauer with an invention disclosure form. They said they weren't interested. 5 years later, they put them on the market. Never trust anyone! :)
 
No Bikes, No Dogs, No bushwhacking, No camping. The AMR is all private property with a public use easement for foot travel on the Lake road as far as the Lower Dam, and on designated trails only. There are plenty of signs indicating the rules.
