It was a nice day out in the Adirondacks. The trail up the East Ridge was in good condition. There were some minor spots of ice which could be avoided. The pond before the summit ridge was thinly frozen. I didn't go all the way to the summit, as I set a turn around time, to be back before 4pm. I got a late start, and had to pay the price. I was surprised that this late in the season there really wasn't any winterlike conditions to be dealt with.
