We lead a hike for the 3500 Club today to Rusk. Mostly, everyone else lead and I followed! Pat and Laurie both had ideas on the way they wanted to go, and so did I, so we did the sensible thing and let the Mother have her way on Mother's Day! 
There was some new blowdown here and there, but being off trail, we got around it easily enough. The Trillium and other wildflowers were in bloom.

We made it right to the top. There were a few views of Westkill and Hunter from below the summit. The last canister entry was almost a month before!
We started at 9:00 and finished around 1:00. Slow and steady, on a beautiful, cool, spring day. No bugs or snow at all either!
