Hey all, I was up in western Maine (West Lovell) staying on the beautiful Kezar Lake with my parents the end of last week and into the weekend, I'd just like to share some pictures.
We had great lake weather, but the day we chose to hike Baldface turned out to be SOCKED in and VERY rainy. So we only hit S. Baldface and returned via Slippery Brook Tr., those cliffs on the loop trail and views from the summits must be awesome in good weather, I shall return. Here are those pictures.
For those who are unfamiliar with Kezar Lake, it is said to be the most scenic in New England (arguably of course). You can find it on map 5 of your AMC maps. It is east of the Baldfaces and south of the Caribou Speckled Wilderness. The lake is absolutely gorgeous with extensive WMNF mountain views of Kearsarge North to the Baldfaces to the Royces to Speckled and Caribou Mtns and other peaks included in the wilderness area. Here are the Kezar pictures.
Enjoy...
