Anyone been on the cliffs on saddleback lately?
I am interested in first hand knowledge of the conditions and when they were done.
I will be up there in a few days... and can speculate myself that they will likely be icy (because of the latest rainfall/freezing rain), but if anyone has heard otherwise as much of a detailed description as possible would be awesome!
If the conditions are really bad and icy:
One specific question would be are the cracks too filled with ice to get one or two pieces of rock pro in (I am thinking a few midsize cams and maybe a few wired nuts higher up)? would ice screws work (probably not enough ice)?
Sort of a long shot, as a lot of people try to avoid this cliff this time of year, and you never know what your up against with the conditions constantly shifting, until you are up there.
