Sandwich Mtn trail from Rte 49.
The lot was partially plowed and crusty.
Used microspikes from the trailhead. No blowdowns.
Turned back just short of noon peak due to steep icy trail section.
The trail was mostly snow-covered -- hard crust but some with rocks exposed.
Crampons would have been helpful on the steeps.
Drake brook was running high. We bushwacked back to the road bridge.
