Road was hard packed, about 12' down low to beak thru. At the top of Panther Brook snow was 2-3 ft in places. Snow is not real packable as its so cold and dry. The four of us broke open the trail to the top of panther brook from Bradly Pond. In places we did break thru into water underneath but It seemed frozen up better on our way out. Cold, Bluest skies ever seem day. Hand warmer, warm boots and the love of the outdoors needed.
