Santanoni from the east

Has anyone approached Santanoni from a more direct route than via Bradley Pond and Times Square now that the private land has been purchased? If so, where is the jumping off point? Is this formally opened up to the public now?

I've been up the twin slides a couple of times and up and down the 'old' herd path when it was the trade route.
The old herd path is open to the public now and you can probably find more info than you need if you do a quick search.

The new-old herd path might be a little difficult to locate with snow, and perhaps a challenge to stay with going up the mountain.
