Hard crusty snow in the eary morning. Mushy, deep,spruce-trap inspired snow in the warm sunshine in the afternoon. Some ice crust on Santanoni summit. Be aware that tracks to the 3 peaks and even on the herd path from Bradley Pond have been obscured by melt/rain/wind. My tracks will get you there, but you might be frustrated by the experience. I meander a bit towards Santanoni and lose the descending path to Couch all together (better on the ascent) and end up bushwhacking through the dense trees. Lost my favorite sunglasses on the ascent from Couch. If you find them email me, please??? [email protected]
