Any good outdoor books to consider for the season?? Need a few ideas.

If you haven't read "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed.............it's a really good read, hiker or nonhiker, a great book.

I found the Secrets of Warmth by Hal Weiss to be very informative for winter hiking, camping and shoulder season hiking/camping. I also liked Winter Camping NOLS by Buck Tilton and John Gookin.

Thanks. From another thread, Peak Experiences sounds interesting.

Speaking of, ... on 2nd thought, I'll do another thread on this.

I just bought LipSmackin Backpacking for a my nephew who wants to get into overnight trips. I have LipSmackin Vegetarian Backpacking which has terrific recipes. This year's good reads: Up, Following Atticus. I've also started reading Becoming Odyssa, and The Appalachian Trail: Celebrating America's Hiking Trail is on my Christmas list.
