I heard from a good source that SAR was searching an area "north of the notch" for an apparant suicide? Has anyone else heard about this?

Heard rumors of a suicide and search in the Twin Mountain area but can find absolutely no information on any online news sources that I can find.

It was a suicide, and the body was recovered.

I suspect that someone from the PVSART will soon be chiming in with the details.

This was on the Base Road a little below Mt Clinton Rd. We went up that way on Friday morning and noticed a truck parked in one of the spots along the river and it was still there late in the day. The next morning the truck was still there along with about a dozen other cars and trucks from various S.A.R. crews. I was hoping this wasn't going to be the outcome....

I did see it reported in the Conway Daily and the Berlin Daily suns, but they are not always accessible online. A 61 year old man from Wilmot NH was found deceased after a difficult bushwhack, apparently a suicide. Base station workers reported the truck and a searc operation was called out with k-9 assistance. Lt Doug Gralenski reported the searchers found the body at about 3:30 PM.
