The weather forecast for this weekend looks promising. Mount Washington should be sunny (but windy) with a high of 42. It's been four years since I was last up the Huntington Ravine Trail, and I've been itching to do it again. The ravine itself should be fairly well sheltered from the wind. At the top we can decide whether to take Nelson Crag to the summit or simply traverse the Alpine Garden. I'd like to descend via Boott Spur.

If anyone is interested, I expect to be in the "pack-up" room in the basement of the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center between 9 and 9:15 on Saturday morning. Multiple layers, warm gloves and hat are a must.

Not a good hike for people uncomfortable in steep, rocky terrain.
