Beautiful sunny day. Weld Trail from Lower Ausable Lake was in pretty decent shape considering the recent rains. A truly delightful trail. A couple of little scrambles near the summit were only mildly challenging due to water/mud. Black flies were minimal (probably due to the wind). No special equipment required. Mud not deep enough to call for gaiters.
