This was a good choice for such a rainy day.

The Swift River is running high right now, so the crossing was a bit tricky. The trail is in great shape, except for a couple of muddy patches.

It's a very prettty trail right now, miles of ferns and lady slippers and bunchberry.

Those "Bunchberries" are actually the smallest member of the of Dogwood family, Cornus canadensis

Gorgeous shots. What kind of camera are you using? Was it on a "macro"?

Thanks :)
The camera is a Canon Digital Rebel. The lens is actually a zoom, probably around the 75mm or 80mm range. I know it's unusual for flower pictures, but I like it. I also like to keep the big lens ready for the wildlife ;)

Those bunchberries are edible but it has no taste. and the seeds feel gritty. But I still can't help myself.

You should switch over to lady slippers - mighty tasty! Ok, just kidding...
