Bob.....

You said it all injust a few words. But, it was an enjoyable day with fun people. I'm looking forward to the next adventure with you and Geri.

Thanks for having me along.

Earl

Wow! Sorry I missed this one, sounds like an easy relaxing hike...joke, joke. Like I said, I have to do these all in winter and these are the hikes I only want to do once. I guess I'm just the kind of hiker that likes to relax and enjoy the already used trails...well maybe with an occasional challenge. :D

Bob & Geri, I'll be hiking with the two of you many times again...you seem to draw a fun hiking group.

Geri typing, my version of the trip so Donna really knows what she missed:
Once we crossed the river and got our boots on, we found an short herd path that took us directly to an old logging road. This lead us right up to the knife edge, where we found an incredible herd path to the canister. After a leisurely lunch (smoked salmon, brie and some white wine, with truffles for desert) it was now appraching 11am and the group split - some for a quick jaunt to the 'other' summit and the rest headed down to the cars. Luck would have it, a large tree had fallen over the river allowing us an easy dry crossing for the return trip. Unbelievably enough: we then found coupons on our vehicles for any 'non-retired' hiking persons for a free dinner and complimentary hot-tub at one of the local fine establishments. What a day!

*laughing* Great sense of humor! Love reading your posts. I'm glad all of you had a good hike, albeit a tough one.
