Corey's Road was dry and clear in the morning, and had a trace of snow in the afternoon. There was just a trace of snow at the trailhead and snowfall amounts increased gradually to about 4 inches on the ridge. There are lots of wet areas still in the paths, so what looks like nice snow cover sometimes was a muddy quagmire underneath. Most of the open rocks were icy, but the snow cover made it easy to handle with Microspikes and reasonable care. I brought crampons but didn't need them.
It won't be long till snowshoes will be needed above 3500 feet.
