Seward/Seymour 1/8-9

The gate is still open. In to Blueberry lean-to, to Ward Brook Truck Trail, to the herd-path. There were tracks to follow most of the way, and when there weren't Ron "I'm a bush-wacking machine" was on it. It's an a@@-kicking grind to the summit, but the trail should be easy to follow. Back down to the lean-to for the night, and back up the Truck Trail in the morning heading for Seymour. Steep patches on Seymour were solid ice with a light layer of fluffy snow on top, so - caveat emptor. Again, trail should be easy to follow at this point.

Overall, "good" snowshoes will get you the whole way. We barebooted it all the way to Blueberry LT, and snowshoes the rest of the way. Happy Trails!
