Weather finally cleared for a day in the Adirondacks. Trail is still muddy, particularly so on the herd path. Views of Ampersand, Sawtooths, and Santanonis were great. Black flies out in force after noon and above 3000 ft. Trekking poles, gaiters, and repellent were all useful.
