Corey's road was open, and in good condition.
We approached Seymour from the Ward Brook side, using the herdpath that starts just after the Lean-to, parking at the trailhead.
Herdpath was relatively easy to follow, but braided in a few sections, especially on the steeper parts where it flirts with the slides. Going down, if you get off trail, try to head over to the stream or slide, and there will generally be a herdpath segment in there somewhere.
There was plenty of mud in places. Since it rained most of the afternoon, the herdpath also had plenty of running water.
A few patches of leftover snow near the top, but these will be gone in a few days. Bugs were just starting to show up at lower elevations, but none higher up, yet.
Views were actually quite good to the SE, and not bad to the W, from the few overlooks.
For our party of 5, the trek took about 9 hours total, the last 3 miles in heavy downpour, which washed off most of the mud from our pants/gaitors/boots.
