Trail Conditions: Fluffy Snow, deep in some spots
Special Equipment Required: snowshoes, eye protection
Comments: The main parking area off of Route 42 is not plowed so we parked on the road near the house. There was only room for 4 cars so be aware of that if you go.
ZenWriter took a bearing and we headed up. We crossed over the tracks from another group several times throughout the day. We made the canister without much searching, signed in, had lunch and headed back.
Higher up, the trees had that crystalized snow. They had that furry look. It was pretty until you bumped into one of the branches and the snow came down on you.
