Up Shrewsbury Peak Trail to LT/AT and Little Killington, down via Black Swamp Trail.
Shrewsbury Peak Trail well-laid out, easy to follow. Three or four elderly blowdowns turned into head-knockers or with herd-paths around them. Top of the trail (after Shrewsbury Peak) has been recently brushed out. Nice, quick morning hike to the ridge and return before noon.
Only sign identifying the Black Swamp Trail (at jct with Shrewsbury Peak Trail) is one suggesting it as a route to "SHELTER". Black Swamp Trail wide, easy to follow to VAST Trail about .8 mile in from the parking area on the CCC Road.
Kudos to the trail crews who keep up the lesser-used trails and shelters.
