Trail conditions were in some areas very wet, muddy and soggy due to recent heavy rains. Gaiters recommended. No downed trees. Walked in from the Hogtown parking area as that 1.6 mile stretch of seasonal road ( which is presently still open to cars) to Dacy Clearing is a great wamup walk. Be careful on the 10 mile stretch of road from Route 149, the Buttermilk Falls/Sly Rock Road to the Hogtown parking area. It is becoming rutted and potholed and if speed is excessive you could bust an axle on your vehicle.
