The first slippery part yesterday was the parking lot, a frozen sheet of ice! Microspikes before we got out of the car, and studded snow tires or chains for the cars!
The trail itself was frozen solid more less all the way to the top. A few folks wore crampons, but most wore micro-spikes. Nice views along the way and at the top. There is a nice double log crossing of the first stream. Right out of the parking lot, walk up stream about 100' and cross with ease.
We opted for the Curtiss-Ormsby trail on the way down. It still had some icy spots, but the afternoon sun was softening up the snow and ice.
Back in time for the 3500 Club Board Meeting at Frost Valley, dinner and socializing with tons of new and old friends!
