Gorgeous hike - ran into a few more people than expected, but with the views from Lambert I probably shouldn't have been surprised.
The Lambert Ridge tail has a little mud in places. The Ranger trail is pretty much a stream bed on the upper sections, and the rocks are very slippery for about 1/2 mile right below the trail junction. Still worth it, imo, and the dogs were thrilled, but you might want to bring extra socks for the ride home.
